[It feels as if she's only closed her eyes for a moment, but some part of her knows that isn't true. More time than that has passed. How much time, she couldn't say. She isn't even rightly aware of what the fuck is happening, at first. She just realizes that she's aware again, after a period of time of not being aware.

Then she realizes that her mouth is warmer than the rest of her. Because there is another mouth on her mouth. Her eyes snap open.

A shock of red hair and scrunched up eyes greets her and shocks her into a very undignified mmmph!!?]

[ WHELP that sounds like a personal problem, because Gideon is diving down into the frigid darkness, one arm still firmly around her necromancer ]

[ this is becoming quickly a problem for Gideon as well, especially when the bite causes her to gasp out some of her precious air. She surfaces, spluttering, trying to both tread water and hold onto Harrow. ]

[She coughs out water and greasepaint, giving up her flailing to instead cling onto Gideon like her life depends on it (it kind of does).]

[She looks pathetic, wide-eyed, paint-melty, her voice desperate and high.]

[She goes limp at the "yes", falling against Gideon with a soul-deep relief. A smile even flickers onto her face at the mention of Palamedes.]

[Her fists re-bunch around Gideon's clothes and she lets her face fall against her shoulder.]

[ they both briefly go under again as Gideon is completely incapable of supporting this nonsense ]

Harrow considers arguing that she's not hugging but decides against it. She just stops being deadweight and nods.]

[ at the nod, Gideon grabs her hand and dives ]

[She squeezes that hand, inhales, and follows. She feels weak and ungainly but whenever she can’t manage the swimming, Gideon drags her along. Something poetic, there, probably.]

[ down they go, down and down where it is darker and colder. Down down until Harrow can't tell if the darkness is due to the depth or encroaching unconsciousness.

Then, suddenly, there is a light above her, and something hard at her back. Pins and needles explode across her every limb and digit. Welcome home, honey. ]

[She starts to wonder if Gideon even knows where the fuck she's going when suddenly she sees the light. She gives one last determined push toward it...

And wakes up in her body. Unpleasantly. She gasps and shakes, feeling cold and hot and numb at once.]

Eugh....

[ not so far from her, someone is groaning the word "balls" over and over with escalating insistence ]

[For a long moment she just breathes heavily, trying not to implode.]

Gideon Nav when I can move again I am going to kill you.

[Is there something near her hand she can grab? yes? ok, throwing that at Gideon. Or in the vague direction of Gideon's voice.]

[ It is at this point that Palamedes threatens to strap them both down. ]

[ "and gag them" offers Camilla. ]

[It is at this point that Harrow realizes who else is there.]

[She sits up way too fast and her stomach does a full cartwheel.]

[ But where is Sextus? ]

[ they are once again threatened if they don’t shut up and lay still while Camilla(?) checks both their vitals. ]

[Harrow coughs pathetically but otherwise is obedient. For now. She does subtly lift a middle finger in Gideon's direction, but she feels a hand slap it back down and doesn't move after that.]

[ The diagnosis is that Harrow needs fluids and Gideon needs a working brain and they are both ordered to stay still and rest while Camilla fetches a couple of IVs. But before leaving the room, she gives Harrow’s cot a good shove, putting it in arms reach of Gideon’s.

once she's out of the room, though, Gideon is gasping in pain again ]

[Harrow makes a sound like gurk when the cot is shoved. After taking a second to recover from the PINS OF PAIN ALL OVER HER PERSON she creeps her hand to the side to reach for Gideon. Rolling feels impossible, but if she walks her hand sideways eventually...]

[ Yeah. Yes. As soon as she sees the movement in her peripheral vision, Gideon’s shaking hand is moving out to meet hers. ]
