[It is the third day without sleep.]

[This is not the first time the Reverend Daughter, Harrowhark Nonagesimus, has gone several days without sleep, but it is the first time she has done so since becoming Harrowhark the First and creating the inseparable feedback loop bond with one Gideon Nav. It's impossible to avoid each other. It's impossible to avoid anyone really, considering the low population on board the spacecraft. Does that stop Harrow from trying? No, it does not.]

[She has sequestered herself in the library after taking a very long very cold bath. The dark circles under her eyes are hidden by her greasepaint- a luxury she has insisted on keeping even though she is technically no longer Ninth. She simply feels immodest without it. The broken blood vessels in her eyes are perfectly clear, though.]

[She is reading standing up, at one of the book holders, with her notebook set out on the corner of it with a little nub for writing with. She sways a little, if she forgets to focus, but surely nobody would notice... right?]

[Breathlessly rolls over and crawls to the edge of the bed.]

[ yesssss, she climbs up onto the bed, gennnntly pushing Harrow to lie on her back. ]

[Stupid traitor heart gives an extra enthusiastic bump against her ribs.]

It's impressive how you manage to make everything sound so unappealing.

[ brushes her hair aside and goes right to town gently kissing her neck. ]

[Bullshit, but even after all this time she can't lose face in front of Gideon. Or whatever agreeing to the assessment of her fatigue would be. She doesn't do anything to prove it, though, letting Gideon have this moment. Letting herself sigh and drag blunt fingertips through Gideon's stupid hair.]

You can manage better things with your mouth than being forced to keep it shut, anyway.

Is that a request?

[ She sucks and nips at her neck, her ear. Through their bond there is just infinite warmth and fondness and care. caaaaalm down bone witch. ]

[The echoes of fluffy warm feelings are bad enough when they're just incidental, it's practically untenable when Gideon's doing that shit on purpose. Harrow's neck blushes under Gideon's lips and she tugs at that red hair in retaliation.]

[ she pauses where she is, stops to just nuzzle against her neck ]

Go on, sweetheart, ask for what you want.

[sugarlips]

[This is what she gets for saying anything, isn't it? Gideon will feel the nervous heart flutter that always comes when she tries to make Harrow open up or ask for things. Her hand slides down into the collar of Gideon's shirt and digs her nails in.]

Can I go back to the library and finish my book?

[bonebutchblues]

Nice try. But I can wait.

[ She does feel that. And she keeps her touch gentle, encouraging. They have all the time in the universe, and Gideon intends to fully unwind this tangled ball of anxiety and theorems.

Nuzzling will continue until communication improves. ]

[The worst thing. The absolutely actual worst thing ever of all the things. Is that Gideon Nav is, actually, more patient than Harrowhark. And both of them know it. She digs the nails in harder, then releases, pressing her small palm to the marks.

Her skin goes goosebumps under the nuzzling and she chews on the inside of her cheek.]

[ Her body cages over Harrow's, one arm bracing the beside her head and the other sliiiiding down her arm to take Harrow's pointy hand. The message is clear: take all the time you need, but you're not getting out of this. ]

[It is infuriating how easy it is for Gideon to say that. Infuriating and something else Harrow refuses to name. It makes her stomach swoop and her head feel dizzy for a moment.

She doesn't resist the caging in, or the finger-lacing. So there's that at least. See? She can accept affection! Fussy cav! She sighs and closes her eyes. She has to get to it soon or risk losing more dignity.]

Hmm, how about some suggestions?

[ Gideon's voice is low and husky in her ear. ]

Would you like me to... hold you down and eat you out til you can't stand? Get the strap, pound you into the mattress until the whole ship can hear you scream? Maybe you just want to feel my hand, maybe you want to feel all of my hand?

[ She listens carefully, both to Harrow's body and the bond, to see what suggestion thrills her the most. Not that she'll let her get away with not asking, of course, but it's good to know. ]

Even the thought of Mercymorn hearing them and giving them shit for it later doesn't lessen the heated feelings.]

Why don't you just start by stripping.

[Grabs the scruff of her shirt and pulls.]

[ She lets her own hunger flow into the bond like honey, inviting Harrow to come meet her on this level.

She lets her be pushy about the shirt, helping her shuck it off in a smooth motion. Let her have just a little control before Gideon takes her fully apart. ]

[huff.] Well that's certainly true.

[More so now than ever. That slightly possessive feeling mingles with the flood of desire coming from Gideon and leaves Harrow dizzy. She gasps from it, struck limp from the sheer force of feeling. Or maybe it's from exhaustion.]

[ Little by little, she can feel her necromancer unwinding. Good, she thinks, let me give you what you need. Once her shirt is off, she tosses away her bandeau as well, then just griiinds her torso down against Harrow’s to let her feel the precisely controlled bulk of her musculature. [As if either of them would change that, at this point. Too codependent and too stubborn. Harrow is cured of her limp disease by topless Gideon, her bony hands sliding over her sides and across her back. Such warm skin, and strong bones underneath. A solid base underneath a very solid solider. Gideon presses the air from Harrow's lungs, but she doesn't mind. What's a little oxygen deprivation between necro and cav?]

[ There she goes again, ogling Gideon’s bones. Can you blame her? ]

[Nervous talking? Never heard of her. She doesn’t stop admiring Gideon’s bones, though, tracing a delicate finger up the cavalier’s spine, sensing the shape and form of each vertibrae. When she reaches the atlus, her finger lifts and she places her whole (little) palm on Gideon’s face.]
